First time to Akiba Fest? Well here's what to expect:
Akiba Fest is an interactive concert show that focuses on activities surrounding performances by our main entertainers. Though there is a merchants and activity area, most of the night's focus is on stage where at times the audience is pulled in to experience and learn the latest trends moving through the small portion of Tokyo, Japan known as Akihabara (Akiba for short).
Akiba Fest puts on events designed to not just introduce people to Japanese Pop Culture, but to have them experience first hand new cultural phenomenons and trends moving through the J-pop and Otaku world. Our goal is to celebrate the Japanese entertainer's presence in the Japanese Pop Cultural wave that is hitting America while also educating and exposing people to popular trends that emerge from the streets of Japan's home base for Otaku.
So come to enjoy, not just concerts, but to be entertained by a unique stage show that you yourself may just be a part of.

What is "OTAGEI": Otagei (ヲタ芸) is one of the biggest trends sweeping through the Japanese Otaku world! It is a fun fan-based dance put on by otaku to give praise to their favorite performer while on stage.
At Akiba Fest you will have the chance to meet and see some of the actual originators in action!
